(PRWEB) March 17, 2015 -- Taylor and Kelly Brewer, two members of LD Lowe Wealth Advisory's staff, adopted two boys, ages 4 and 6, from the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) nearly two years ago. Due to a suspension of exit letters for adopted children, the Brewers are still waiting to bring their boys home. They are among hundreds of families across the U.S. who have adopted children from the DRC who are waiting to be reunited with their children.
The group of parents is working to end this crisis by asking President Obama to intervene, and LD Lowe is asking clients, friends, colleagues and the American public to help. The families have marked Tuesday March 17th as a White House call-in day. The number is 202-456-1111.
"On July 16, 2014, 167 members of Congress wrote a letter to President Obama, appealing for his personal intervention. However, this has not happened, and these children are still stuck. President Obama’s help is still needed. Please make the call and ask that President Obama call President Kabila of the Democratic Republic of the Congo personally," said Taylor Brewer.
