Men Are Sexier In A Suit According To Survey
London, UK (PRWEB UK) 18 July 2013 -- King & Allen tailors, who specialise in handmade fitted suits recently published an article showing that many women find a man in a suit more attractive then a man without. The article can be viewed here at http://www.kingandallen.co.uk/blog/?p=886
They achieved this by conducting a survey using an online dating site and comparing it to research conducted by Professor Adam D. Galinsky of the Northwestern University in North America.
“We photographed the men using the same lighting and background – asking them to maintain the same facial expression and body language for each photo. The only thing we changed was their clothing. The results were a landslide. 80% of the women surveyed found the man in a suit more attractive.”

King & Allen believes these results finally confirm a widely held belief that many women find men more attractive when they look smart. Conjecturing that a man wearing a well fitted and made suit projects more confidence and care in his life, they then go on to produce detailed statistics to back up that claim.
“When we analysed the data further, we found that younger women preferred the profile photo of a man in a suit to a photo of the same man in casual attire. The man in a suit was 12% more attractive compared to the same man in jeans and t-shirt.”

The article concludes by analysing what women on a dating site are looking for. Correlating the data into summary tables they believe that a man in a suit holds appeal for women over that of a man in casual wear because of several factors:
- Suits hides physical defects and are more flattering to the man’s body shape
- Suits are highly fashionable particularly in 2013
- Wearing a suit projects that the man takes pride & care in his appearance and is likely to do the same in his relationships. It subconsciously broadcasts a message of success and reliability – 2 qualities women are attracted to when forming a relationship with a man
