Mercury Security CTO Receives Volunteer of the Year Award from the Security Industry Association
LONG BEACH, CA (PRWEB) April 15, 2015 -- LAS VEGAS, April 15, 2015 – ISC West – Mercury Security, a global leader in the supply of OEM access control hardware, today announced that its Chief Technology Officer (CTO) Frank Gasztonyi has been honored with the Security Industry Association (SIA) 2015 Service Award. Acknowledging the volunteer or volunteers that exemplify service to SIA during a one year period, the annual award was presented to Gasztonyi at the SIA Annual Member Meeting, entitled The Advance. The meeting took place on April,14th during this year's ISC West in Las Vegas.
Joseph Gittens, Director of Standards for SIA, congratulated Frank on his contribution to SIA’s mission and objectives. “Frank’s work over the years with SIA on the Open Supervised Device Protocol (OSDP) has made a significant impact in the industry, and I am pleased that the organization as a whole has recognized him for his efforts,” he said. “Frank’s chairmanship of the OSDP working group, and especially leading the group into a real Plugfest last year, showed a level of volunteer leadership that isn’t often seen within the industry.”
Gasztonyi co-founded Mercury Security in 1992 and has also served as the company’s Chief Executive Officer and President. An industry veteran with more than 35 years of security system engineering experience, Gasztonyi is responsible for overseeing product planning and engineering, firmware development and customer agreements. Prior to founding Mercury, he served in a number of engineering and leadership roles with major companies in the security industry, including Rockwell International.
