Mermet USA Expands Portfolio of Decorative Products with High-Performing, T Screen Deco and T Screen Naturals Shade Fabric Collections
COWPENS, S.C. (PRWEB) July 08, 2015 -- Expanding its range of decorative and textured fabrics, Mermet USA, the market leader in high-performance Sun Control Textiles™, introduced its new T Screen Deco and T Screen Naturals shade fabric collections. Impressive at all angles, both products deliver the textured pattern desired by architects and designers along with the superior fenestration performance.
Building on the success of its industry leading T Screen with KOOLBLACK™ Technology dual sided fabric, and other popular multicolored designer fabrics, Mermet’s new additions encompass the best attributes of each. Both products are composed of 36 percent fiberglass and 64 percent vinyl for excellent solar control, durability, and stability. Each collection features a high contrast white backing for superior heat reflectivity and exquisite front facing colors for clean views, glare control and beauty.
T Screen Naturals decorative shade fabrics are elegant and smart, reflecting up to 69 percent of solar radiation for heat control while looking excellent in the window. The product also reflects up to 89 percent of visible light, and improves the combined Solar Heat Gain Coefficient (SHGC) by 26 percent when used with a standard insulated glass unit. It is available in an assortment of five light colors: Beach, Sand, Dune, Pebble and Horizon.
Similarly constructed, T Screen Deco reflects up to 64 percent of solar radiation and as much as 90 percent of visible light for glare control and natural daylighting. When used with a standard insulated glass unit, it improves the combined SHGC up to 24 percent. The collection is available in a rich selection of five, warm coffee house colors: Cream, Cappuccino, Mocha, Espresso and Toffee. The unique style and coloring of both products enhances both the beauty and shading performance of any application.
“In speaking with architects and designers about key requirements for products, two of the main factors that continually arise are aesthetics and performance,” said Jules Duguay, General Manager, Mermet USA. “The introduction of Naturals and Deco is a logical next step for Mermet as we continue to both meet and exceed architect and designer needs with decorative and high-performing solar shade fabrics.”
The new collections are offered in 3 percent and 5 percent openness and can be used for manual and automated window shade solutions. The fabrics meet globally recognized performance standards, with ratings available for Solar Heat Gain Coefficient (SHGC), Solar Reflectance (Rs), Visible Light Transmittance (VLT), and Openness Factor (OF). Additionally, the new fabrics are bacterial and fungal resistant, meet fire classifications, and are RoHS compliant.
