MessageOps Unveils Its Newest Offering ‘Exchange Scout’

How it Works
Exchange Scout will do a complete inventory of your on-premise Exchange environment and output a .csv file of all:
· Permissions on an object
· Permissions an object has to other objects
· Distribution groups
· Members of each distribution group
· Groups an object belongs to
· Forwarding’s set in the environment
These .csv files can even be viewed within Exchange Scout when it is run on a server that does not have Excel installed.
Advanced Troubleshooting
Advanced troubleshooting is another key benefit to using Exchange Scout. Running Exchange Scout before the migration reveals current issues within your company’s system set-up including: obsolete or unused mailboxes, invalid mailbox permissions, and outdated group member accesses. Adjusting these problems prior to your Office 365 migration will generate clean and clear PowerShell scripts for recreating groups, group memberships, and permissions in your new, cloud-based environment.
