MFI Recovery Center Receives Christmas Donation from SoCal Office Technologies
Riverside, CA (PRWEB) March 24, 2015 -- This past Christmas, My Family, Inc. (MFI) Recovery Center was the recipient of a generous donation from a local business. SoCal Office Technologies, based in Cypress, California, matched donations from employees who wanted to support ‘those in need’ this year. On February 4, 2015 Ronnie Robinson, Director of Sales at the SoCal Ontario office, presented a check to Craig Lambdin, Executive Director of MFI Recovery Center. Also present were Shane Cirby, Service Technician at So Cal, and Terri Bader, Program Coordinator of MFI Recovery Center.
The fundraising campaign was organized by SoCal Office Technologies service technician, Shane Cirby, who nominated MFI as the recipient. SoCal Office employees were asked to make donations through the company's website, and the funds were matched by SoCal Office Technologies, at $ .50 to each dollar raised. The goal of the fundraiser was to provide Christmas in a homelike environment for the moms and kids at A Woman’s Place. A Woman’s Place is one of the nine substance abuse treatment centers in the Inland Empire that are under MFI Recovery Center. The Christmas donation was generously presented two short months later, in February, but it nonetheless enabled MFI to provide much needed support during the holiday season.
The generous donation was used to help families at A Woman's Place enjoy the Christmas season away from home. A Woman's Place, located in Riverside, California, is a women and children's residential substance use treatment program. The program works to heal families that have been torn apart by substance abuse. By allowing mothers and their children to live in the facility together, the treatment program provides a structured environment for children during their mother's recovery.
The clients at MFI and A Woman's Place feel blessed by those in the community, like So Cal Office Technologies, for providing support to the Center's mission. Craig Lambdin, Executive Director of MFI Recovery Center, values the generosity of the So Cal Office Technologies toward the women and children in the recovery program.
"This was a wonderful opportunity for our families to see the love and support of those around them. These types of donations really mean a lot to the mothers in our program who want what is best for their children," added Lambdin.
