Miami HEAT Delivers Spectacular NBA Championship Rings
Miami, FL (PRWEB) October 29, 2013 -- The Miami HEAT presented 2013 NBA Championship rings to players this evening during an on-court ceremony at AmercianAirlines Arena before the tipoff of the 2013-2014 season. The 2013 ring is the third championship ring created by Jostens, a leading designer and producer of customer championship jewelry, and commemorates the team’s second straight NBA title and induction into NBA’s elite set of back to back championship winners.
“Tonight is a celebration for the entire HEAT Group and our fans as we honor the 2013 HEAT team with the presentation of their NBA Championship rings,” stated Nick Arison, Chief Executive Officer of The HEAT Group. “These brilliant rings embody the sacrifices and contributions made by the entire HEAT family to achieve this remarkable victory. It is an honor to present this ultimate reward to each player, coach and staff member.”
The stunning ring weighs a total 135 grams and incudes 242 round-cut diamonds, 1.5 carats of custom baguette-cut diamonds, and three black onyx stones totaling 10.3 carats. The top of the ring features two Larry O’Brien NBA Championship Trophies set in 14 karat yellow gold nestled on top of a brilliant black onyx stone, framed by the words “World” and “Champions.” The two basketballs in the trophies are set with round cut diamonds. Prominently displayed on top of the trophies is the team’s name, set with 1.5 carats of custom cut baguette diamonds. Surrounding the top of the ring are 187 sparkling round diamonds.
The side design features the recipient’s last name, 2013 along with the team’s internal symbol, the Black Trophy, encircled with the words “Back to Back” to recognize the team’s second straight NBA title. The Black Trophy is flanked on top and bottom with a black onyx stone. Etched within the Black Trophy is the team’s motto “Sacrifice,” written in Chinese, paying homage to where the journey to the 2013 title began.
The other design features three NBA Championship Trophies set with 53 round diamonds, representing the franchise’s 2006, 2012 and 2013 championships. The word “family” is inscribed below the trophies and embodies the belief that all ring recipients are part of the Miami HEAT family.
Customized arboring on the inside of each player’s ring tells the story of an incredible season, featuring the phrases “Franchise Best 66-17 Record” and “27 Game Winning Streak.” These phrases memorialize the team’s 2013 season record and historic 27-game winning streak, the second longest in NBA history.
“Jostens is thrilled to once again partner with the Miami HEAT to produce a ring that embraces the team’s winning legacy while celebrating their third NBA Championship,” said Chris Poitras, director, Sports Marketing and Development, Jostens. “The Miami HEAT and Jostens collaborated to design a stunning championship ring and fan collection that recognizes the team’s accomplishments and commemorates their historic victory.”
To celebrate the team’s remarkable championship season, the HEAT and Jostens have collaborated to create a one-of-a-kind HEAT 2013 Championship merchandise collection. This remarkable collection celebrates the 2013 NBA Champions while embracing the winning legacy of the HEAT organization. The collection allows fans to celebrate and remember the remarkable season that concluded with a Game 7 series victory over the San Antonio Spurs. The collections are available to HEAT season ticket holders and HEAT fans for purchase at the AmericanAirlines Arena as well as online at Jostens.com/MiamiHEAT.
The 2013 Miami HEAT Championship ring and companion pieces were designed and produced in Jostens’ fine jewelry facilities in Minneapolis, Minnesota; Denton, Texas; and Montreal, Canada.
