Miami University Ice Hockey Selects STX as Official Ice Hockey Equipment Supplier
Baltimore, MD (PRWEB) October 02, 2017 -- Global sporting goods leader STX, LLC, today announced it has reached an agreement to be the official equipment supplier to the NCAA Division I Men’s Ice Hockey program at Miami University.
The five year agreement will mark the first Division I partnership in the sport of ice hockey for the growing equipment manufacturer, and will also include a provision to outfit the women’s Division I field hockey program with equipment moving forward.
“We could not have chosen a better program for our initial foray into Division I ice hockey,” said STX VP of Sales & Marketing, Ed Saunders. “Given the rich history of success of the Miami ice hockey program and the stellar leadership reputation of Head Coach Rico Blasi, we are thrilled to align our brand with the Redhawk program.”
The relative proximity of the Miami campus to Baltimore will empower the product development team at STX to conduct field testing and research, in addition to providing the highest quality performance equipment for competition.
“The Miami Hockey program is very excited to welcome STX as our official equipment provider. Over the last several months we have experienced the company’s commitment to success and performance. The parallels between the two organizations are sure to lead to great things in the coming years,” said Miami Redhawks’ Head Coach Enrico Blasi.
The partnership will make its competitive debut on October 6th, as Miami hosts Providence College for its 2017-18 season opener and annual “You Can Play” game at Steve 'Coach' Cady Arena in Oxford, OH.
