Michael George Insurance Extends Community Charity Event in Conjunction with the Crohn's & Colitis Foundation of America
Jacksonville, FL (PRWEB) April 18, 2017 -- Michael George Insurance, a Jacksonville area provider of insurance and financial planning assistance serving communities throughout northeastern Florida, is extending a charity event begun late last year to raise donations and community support for the Crohn's & Colitis Foundation of America.
The Crohn's & Colitis Foundation of America is dedicated to providing assistance to medical organizations researching treatments and cures for Colitis and Crohn’s Disease, both of which are inflammatory bowel diseases that can lead to more severe disorders. Funding goals for the charity drive to date have not yet reached goals set last year, and both the CCFA and Michael George Insurance are extending the event to last through the month of April.
“Inflammatory bowel disorders are often misunderstood, but the real truth is that both Crohn’s Disease and Colitis often lead to far more devastating disorders that can become life-threatening,” explains Michael George, founder and principal agent of Michael George Insurance.
To date, efforts to gather public support for the CCFA charity event have included both social media and email campaigns, and these efforts are set to continue. Additional efforts to promote the charity drive incorporated a full length feature article in the Michael George Insurance online magazine “Our Hometown” that shared information on the CCFA and bowel disorders. The current charity campaign in support of the CCFA is only the latest of more than half a dozen undertaken by George and his team over the last year.
