Michael McWade’s Second 'Reindeer Chronicles' Book Earns Multiple Awards
LA GRANGE HIGHLANDS, Ill. (PRWEB) June 04, 2015 -- Author Michael McWade marks his return to the literary world with his latest children’s book, “Summer Camp: Book II of The Reindeer Chronicles” (published by Trafford Publishing), which was a runner-up at the London Book Festival and received honorable mentions at both the San Francisco and New England book fairs.
“Summer Camp” continues the exciting adventures of Dasher, Dancer, Prancer, Vixen, Comet, Cupid, Donner and Blitzen: those “other” 8 reindeer that pull Santa’s sleigh that are often little more than a footnote when compared to Rudolph, the red-nosed reindeer of fame. McWade decided to change this and published his first book, “The Reindeer Chronicles: The Green Scarf,” an award-winning children’s book that follows their early childhood years.
Before they head off to Flight School, the reindeer are starting summer camp in the North Pole region called the East Arctic. There, they will be staying in a barracks, have various outdoor activities and play pranks on each other. Throughout “Summer Camp,” readers watch as the reindeer grow up in ways they will never forget.
McWade hopes children will grow along with the characters of the story, learning the importance of teamwork, tolerance in the differences in others as well as improve their skills to face real world issues.
