Michigan Business Owner to Appear on ABC’s Shark Tank on January 29th
(PRWEB) January 19, 2016 -- Shefit® a West Michigan based sports bra company, will appear on “Shark Tank” on January 29th, 9:00 p.m., ET/PT on ABC. The recipient of the 2014 and 2015 Emmy Award for Outstanding Structured Reality Program, Shark Tank, features ”The Sharks” – tough, self-made, millionaire and billionaire tycoons -- as they invest in America's best businesses and products. Sara Moylan, owner and inventor of the Shefit® Bra with it's patented adjustable technology, was invited to pitch a business proposition to the “Sharks” for the seventh season of the critically acclaimed reality show. Moylan, along with her husband Bob, appeared in front of Sharks Mark Cuban, Daymond John, Kevin O'Leary, Lori Greiner & Robert Herjavec with the hopes of striking a deal and forming a partnership.
The Shefit® Sports Bra is ideal for any woman, especially those who have struggled with excessive bounce or back and shoulder strain. The exclusive patented technology of the Shefit® Sports Bra was designed to give women the ability to securely adjust both their bust band and shoulder straps for the most personalized and comfortable fit, with the level of support they choose.
Creating the best fit depends on three critical things – cup size, band size and straps. Shefit® tested and retested, trying countless designs and materials on their bras to ensure that these elements worked seamlessly together and gave a woman her bra, her way.
Moylan can’t reveal the outcome of her experience, which was recorded in September, 2015, for this month’s broadcast, but says the pitch session was priceless. “We can't talk about how we did on the show, or if we gained a new business partner or not... we're not going to spoil the surprises for the audience,” Moylan explains. “People will just have to tune in and watch the episode for themselves.” Each year tens of thousands of businesses apply to be on the show - this year over 100,000 ideas were submitted - only 200 are chosen to film segments, and just over half of those who film make it on-air.
“The whole Shark Tank process is so much longer than what gets shown on TV,” said Sara Moylan, owner and inventor of Shefit®. “From the application and interviews, to the planning calls with the production team, to the actual time in The Tank - - which can be hours on its own - - all that gets boiled down to the final edited version of just 5 - 10 minutes. The process is overwhelming, and exhausting, but it was all very, very exciting.”
