Michigan Company Finishes Strong Year with Final Forensic Science Training Event of 2015
Sacramento, CA (PRWEB) December 23, 2015 -- John M. Collins Jr., the Principal Instructor and Consultant at the Forensic Foundations Group, announced today that his company has completed a strong year, with over 300 forensic science professionals across the United States attending his specialized professional development workshops for forensic science professionals.
The most recent event was held on Monday November 16, 2015 courtesy of the California Association of Crime Laboratory Directors where Collins taught a full day workshop on contemporary scientific and judicial issues facing today's crime laboratories. The following day, Collins also gave a two-hour presentation on assessing organizational effectiveness in forensic science organizations.
"There is so much going on in forensic science today that the crime laboratory workforce benefits from educational opportunities that help develop advanced occupational competencies," Collins said. "It was such an honor to be with the CACLD group and to share some information that I hope they will find useful in their daily work."
Collins is the former director of forensic science for the Michigan State Police. He is also the Chief Managing Editor of Crime Lab Report. He is the only forensic science professional in the United States who is formally certified as a Senior Certified Professional in human resources through the Society for Human Resource Management.
