Micron Optics Announces New Trade-In Programs
Atlanta, GA (PRWEB) September 23, 2013 -- Micron Optics, Inc., a global leading innovator and provider of fiber optic sensing systems and tunable laser technology, today announces two exciting new trade-in programs. These programs are designed to enable a path to ownership of Micron Optics’ products for both existing and new customers.
The first trade-in program is for Micron Optics sm125 instruments with “version 1” hardware. This particular model, like all of Micron Optics instrumentation, was designed for long-term operation in the field. But because several internal electrical components are no longer manufactured and cannot be replaced, a new sm125 “version 2” design was introduced in 2007. Owners of an sm125 version 1 are encouraged to upgrade their instrument(s) to the current sm125 hardware version 2. Not only is this unit identical in terms of performance and quality, but also comes with a one-year warranty as well as a few new hardware and software features.
Details for this trade-in are as follows: going forward, Micron Optics will extend a significant discount of 40 percent on any new sm125-v2 optical sensing interrogator to any customer who returns an sm125-v1. Alternatively, customers may also upgrade their unit to a refurbished sm125-v2 for an even greater discount.
The second trade-in program is different and unlike anything currently in the industry. Through the end of 2013, Micron Optics will be accepting trade-ins of optical sensing hardware from fiber Bragg grating (FBG)-based optical sensing instrument manufacturers. The details for this trade-in are simple: Micron Optics will accept in trade for a new Micron Optics sensing instrument of similar configuration, any product that was designed specifically for FBG-based optical sensing that is in good working order and less than five years old. Trade-in value of up to 40 percent off a new instrument will be assessed based on the specifics of each trade offer.
