With company roots dating back to the 1940s in Joplin, Mo., Mid-Western LLC have earned a solid reputation as an American manufacturer of high-powered, pneumatic and hydraulic drills and replacement parts. The company’s products are extensively used on mining operations in North and South America, South Africa, Australia, Europe, and Russia. One of their newest products is a compact hydraulic rotary drilling rig capable of drilling up to 300’ deep from a minimal footprint. With almost 20 employees at their new Wentzville headquarters, the company expects to nearly double in the next few years.

Each month a different business in St. Charles County is selected for the Business Spotlight Award by the Economic Development Roundtable (EDR) based on criteria such as entrepreneurial success, economic impact, job growth, and civic involvement. The EDR is a standing committee of the Economic Development Center (EDC) of St. Charles County with the local cities, St. Charles County Government, and the St. Charles County Department of Workforce Development.
