MidAtlantic Farm Credit to Host Centennial Celebration Events
Westminster, MD (PRWEB) June 07, 2016 -- MidAtlantic Farm Credit, an agricultural lending cooperative, will host in-office celebrations on Friday, July 15 to mark the 100th anniversary of the Farm Credit System. The System was created in 1916 by President Woodrow Wilson to provide financial support to rural America and the agriculture industry.
“This is a huge milestone for the Farm Credit System, and it’s all due to the support of our member-borrowers and advocates,” says Tom Truitt, CEO of MidAtlantic Farm Credit. “We want to celebrate how far we have come and kick-off the next century of supporting our local communities and agriculture.”
Customers, industry professionals, and those interested in learning more about Farm Credit are invited to visit the MidAtlantic Farm Credit office nearest them on Friday, July 15 during the hours of 11am until 3pm. Lunch will be provided and attendees can enter to win a raffle prize commemorating the System’s centennial.
“If you are a current customer or agriculture supporter, or are interested in learning more about Farm Credit, we hope you can join us on July 15,” says Truitt. “These events are a great time to meet our staff and find out what Farm Credit is all about.”
