Milanamos joins EIT Digital Accelerator to drive new business model
Brussels, Belgium (PRWEB UK) 25 October 2016 -- Milanamos, a French developer of a predictive analytics platform for airports and airlines, has joined the EIT Digital Accelerator to help it expand across Europe and to drive its transformation into a truly multimodal transport planning solution.
Aviation sector veterans Christophe Imbert and Christophe Ritter founded Milanamos in January 2014. The startup developed a Software as a Service (SaaS) solution product: PlanetOptim in three different applications (Future, Network, Pricing), which provided airports and airlines with a predictive analytics platform to help them design future networks and indentify new route opportunities.
They have now joined the EIT Digital Accelerator to help them give their platform multimodal capability, grow both their customer base and partnerships across Europe and to raise funds of €2m by the end of the year.
Milanamos will be part of the EIT Digital Cities Action Line which leverages the digital transformation of cities through centralised, participative and collaborative interactions between city actors: government, city service providers, industry, and citizens. This transformation enables the deployment of disruptive information, mobility and safety services in cities.
By joining the EIT Digital Accelerator, Milanamos will benefit from expert support that will not only help them accelerate their growth by gaining new customers and industrial partners across Europe, but also reach new investors through the EIT Digital Access to Finance programme.
Stéphane Amarger, France Director of EIT Digital said: “We are very pleased to welcome Milanamos to the Accelerator. They have developed a unique and innovative product in an area where no one had yet ventured - the integration of air transport in the multimodal sector. We can create fantastic synergies with our network of partners and start-ups across Europe. With this unrivalled access, Milanamos will be able to connect more easily and quickly with airports, airlines, bus and rail operators and local authorities across Europe.”
Christophe Imbert, CEO of Milanamos said: “We joined the Accelerator because we have strong growth ambitions for 2017 and we wanted to create a step-change by moving to a truly multimodal business model. We are developing a multimodal planning solution with key R&D Partners and foresee an emerging business model for airports and transport operators. We also want to significantly increase our customer base by at least one hundred new contract signings, create partnerships with leading European industrial players and engage in a new round of financing to play a leading role in the new travel revolution.”
