OAKLAND, Calif. (PRWEB) May 15, 2018 -- Heralding an important milestone in its 166-year history, Mills College is proud to announce the launch of its first fully online degree, the Master of Arts in Educational Leadership.
Founded in 1852, Mills defied the convention of the time by providing educational opportunities to women. Today, it is once again breaking barriers by making access to a top-ranked graduate education for all genders more flexible and accessible with the delivery of a high-quality online program.
According to recent studies, more and more students are turning to digital educational opportunities to enhance their learning and advance in their careers.
“Research shows that nearly one-third of all graduate degrees are taken fully online,” said Mills College Provost and Dean of the Faculty, Chinyere Oparah. “No institution can afford to ignore a market of adult learners that has clearly indicated its preference for online delivery, and I’m delighted to announce what will be the first of many online programs for Mills College.”
Firmly cemented as a leader in the training of educators in the San Francisco Bay Area, Mills plans to welcome its first online cohort in early 2019. “Our innovative MA in Educational Leadership will help ensure that students of all backgrounds can experience a life-changing education that prepares them to be leaders in schools and K-12 administration across the nation,” added Oparah.
Priced identically to the existing on-campus version, the online MA in Educational Leadership will offer strong value and the close, personal attention for which Mills College has long been known, albeit delivered in new and exciting modalities. “Offering this online degree with sophisticated digital learning technologies will help educators communicate in a fast-changing world,” said Dean of the School of Education, Diane Ketelle. "And we’ll bring Mills to students whose busy lives make pursuing graduate education a logistical challenge.”
Bringing external expertise in key functional areas like digital marketing, student recruitment, instructional design, and student support, Noodle Partners is helping Mills College build a powerful online MA in Educational Leadership that is sustainable over the long term. Its business model lowers cost while providing best-in-class service, unprecedented transparency, and agility.
“We are honored to join Mills College on its inaugural online journey,” said John Katzman, CEO of Noodle Partners. “The need for well-trained educators has never been greater, and I’m confident that Mills College’s MA in Educational Leadership will be a big success for the College, its students, and future generations of students.”
