Mind Heart Soul Ministry to Host Alzheimer’s and Caregiving Workshop at Saddleback Church Laguna Woods on Saturday, May 10
Irvine, CA (PRWEB) May 01, 2014 -- Mind Heart Soul Ministry and Saddleback Church Laguna Woods invite the community to attend a special open-to-the-public presentation on Saturday, May 10 at 9:00 a.m. The no-cost seminar will address two topics many are facing as America’s population ages: Caregiving and Alzheimer’s, a disease that affects more than five million people across the United States.
The event – Changes! Are you prepared? Or are you lost and afraid? Come get a dose of Hope! – features a special presentation designed to help attendees assess whether or not they are prepared to be caregivers and will offer a range of advice – from working through changes in a loved one’s behavior to identifying the right time to seek professional care.
The presentation will also answer the question, ‘What is Alzheimer’s?’ It will highlight how the disease impacts families, the types of care needed – from family caregivers to professional care – and various costs associated with each. Vic Mazmanian, leader of Mind Heart Soul, will lead the two-hour workshop.
The event will be held at Saddleback Church Laguna Woods located at 24262 Punta Alta, Laguna Woods, CA 92637 from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Complimentary short-term care will be available to those who register by calling (949) 609-8574. All attendees are also welcome to enjoy a complimentary continental breakfast.
