MindPoint Group Accredited as a FedRAMP Third Party Assessment Organization (3PAO)
Washington, DC (PRWEB) April 08, 2015 -- MindPoint Group, LLC, today announced that the company has been granted Accredited Third Party Assessment Organization (3PAO) status under the Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program (FedRAMP). This accreditation as a 3PAO authorizes MindPoint Group to conduct security audits on cloud service providers seeking federal contracts.
To gain accreditation by the FedRAMP PMO, MindPoint Group was assessed by the American Association for Laboratory Accreditation (A2LA) which performs a rigorous evaluation of technical competence as well as organizational compliance to the requirements of ISO/IEC 17020. MindPoint Group completed the external assessment conducted by A2LA with zero findings, which is extremely rare for an initial assessment.
Now accredited, MindPoint Group will leverage its industry leading expertise in government security requirements and control baselines, as well as a detailed understanding of both the audit readiness and assessment processes required for FedRAMP, to guide clients through the arduous process of becoming FedRAMP accredited. MindPoint Group’s FedRAMP Services will focus on two functional areas; FedRAMP readiness consulting and 3PAO assessments.
