Mindray a winner in the Red Dot Award 2014: BeneHeart R3 ECG awarded for high design quality
(PRWEB UK) 28 April 2014 -- Mindray Medical International convinced the 40-member expert panel for the Red Dot Award: Product Design 2014 with the high design quality of its BeneHeart R3 electrocardiograph. In the current competition, the international experts discussed and evaluated 4,815 entries from 53 countries. But only designs which won over the jury with quality and innovative strength gained an award. Mindray’s BeneHeart R3 was successful and received the coveted Red Dot quality seal as its deserved reward.
“The BeneHeart R3 is an attractively small 12-lead full function diagnostic electrocardiograph designed as a completely integrated structure with a seamless upper cover for easy cleaning,” said Dr. Shen Luo, Deputy General Manager of ECG products at Mindray. Operation of the R3 is intuitive, featuring a 5-inch high resolution color LED screen for clear display, a keypad with functionality-grouped color and numerical keys and a thermal printer which provide accurate trace presentations and easy-to-read reports. Paper loading is facilitated via a side mounted paper-tray door pushdown lock with minimal resistance to opening the concealed paper tray. The ECG printout automatically unfolds on the writing pad located at the top of the device, thus conveniently allowing for quick notes or signatures. Both roll and Z-fold papers are also supported. At only 1.2kg in weight with a battery and internal AC power supply, the R3 offers a supremely lightweight yet powerful advanced ECG analysis solution.

Its prize, the Red Dot, has established itself worldwide as one of the most sought-after quality marks for excellent design. The Design Zentrum Nordrhein Westfalen displays the award-winning products in the Red Dot Design Museum Essen for at least one year.
