MINES & Associates Announces New Version of the Organizational Wellbeing Inventory and Evaluation Program (OWIE)
San Diego, CA (PRWEB) September 28, 2015 -- MINES and Associates (MINES), a nationally recognized business psychology firm, today announces the release of OWIE 2.0 (Organizational Wellbeing Inventory and Evaluation), a program that takes a structured approach in evaluating organizational wellbeing. Organizational wellbeing is a measure of how well a company's management, operations, strategy and culture interact to produce the desired results within that organization. The OWIE assesses financial status, leadership, company culture, developmental stage, organizational structure, and overall workflow -- separately and, most importantly, as an integrated system -- in evaluating overall wellbeing.
The OWIE is a deep-dive, holistic analysis of company's ability to meet its core business goals based on interviews, surveys and reviews involving all levels of the organization -- from senior executives to the "rank and file." The new version of the OWIE gives organizations a more refined way of gauging whether or how well the organization's component parts -- its people and systems -- work as an integrated whole. The OWIE assesses financial sustainability, development stage, leadership's ability to communicate a coherent vision and motivate the workforce, the clarity and flexibility of its organizational structure, and the fluidity of its core business processes, identifying areas where "energy flow" is compromised or constrained, then making recommendations for improvement.
"A healthy company is one that works together at all levels, united by a shared vision and company-wide commitment to organizational goals," said Dr. Robert Mines, CEO of MINES. "The OWIE is based on MINES' psychological and business expertise and our deep understanding of the people and process issues at the team, departmental, and/or organizational level that undermine business success. The program enables companies to identify and address areas of weakness, making sure that all components are in balance and are functioning optimally as a whole."
MINES & Associates will be introducing OWIE 2.0 at EAPA's 2015 World EAP Conference in San Diego, on September 30. MINES' Dr. Dani Kimlinger and Patrick Hiester will be leading an interactive session on "A Brand New Approach to Organizational Wellbeing,” during which they will identify characteristics of healthy versus unhealthy organizations, while demonstrating tools, principles and strategies for improving organizational wellness.
