Minitab® 17 Statistical Software Takes the Fear Out of Data Analysis with Enhanced Assistant, New Tools

Minitab 17 offers new functionality and other enhancements designed to make statistical analysis easier, and to give quality improvement professionals greater insight into their processes. In particular, it expands the reach of the Assistant, a feature that guides users through their analysis and helps them interpret their results.

Minitab 17 also introduces powerful new tools for regression analysis and analysis of variance (ANOVA). A new interface lets users quickly specify predictor variables, and automatic model selection makes identifying important variables easy. A wider range of graphical options offer more ways to visually explore results, while the response optimizer makes it easy to find the optimal settings for process variables.
Minitab 17 also introduces enhanced DOE capabilities to help users more effectively determine factors and interactions affecting their processes. The response optimizer can be applied to general factorial designs in Minitab 17, and response surface designs can include categorical factors. In addition, automatic model selection is available for both factorial and response surface designs.
