New York, N.Y. (PRWEB) July 23, 2013 -- In a highly competitive economy, keeping your skills sharp isn’t just an advantage—it’s a necessity. Quality improvement practitioners in the New York City area will have the opportunity to refine their skills by attending public training sessions being offered in September.
Minitab Inc., the leading provider of software for quality improvement and statistics education, will offer its Data Analysis Fundamentals for Service Quality training series Sept. 10-19, 2013, at the NYC Seminar and Conference Center, 71 W. 23rd Street, Suite 515, New York, NY 10021.
The series is comprised of six, three-hour evening sessions. Classes will be held Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday of each week (Sept. 10, 11, & 12 and Sept. 17, 18, & 19, 2013). Course registration requires enrollment in all six sessions.
The courses are tailored for professionals working in financial services, healthcare and other areas of the service industry. The course materials include examples with metrics such as time, defect rates and revenue data.
The full training costs $1275. People who register for two or more days of training and pay before August 11, 2013 receive a 10% early-bird discount. In addition, two or more people from the same organization receive a 5% discount if they register before September 10. All of Minitab’s instructor-led training includes plenty of time to practice what you learn under the guidance of expert trainers with years of experience implementing quality improvement projects. Trainers make complex concepts easy to grasp, and are highly regarded for their engaging style and personal attention.
Luis Mateo, Minitab technical training specialist, will be the instructor for the New York City sessions. "When I teach people to use Minitab, I avoid lots of unnecessary theoretical jargon," he says. "My goals for them when they finish the course are to know how to use the software at their jobs and to feel confident doing their own analyses."
Mateo earned his B.A. in Physics from Colgate University in 1995 and his M.A. in Applied Statistics from Columbia University in 1998. He has more than seven years of experience applying statistics to improve the quality of consumer products at global companies such as Colgate-Palmolive, Unilever Research and Pepsi Co. As a multi-lingual statistician (English, Spanish and Portuguese), Luis has helped international laboratories implement experimental designs and statistical methods of analyses.
