I mustered up some guts to walk to the store; it had been a year in a half before I could bring myself to step a foot outside. I was tired of living in fear; plus, the guys were behind bars. I haven’t heard anything else about them after the grand jury in Atlanta. I said to myself, ‘I refuse to live in fear.’ I was ready to take my life back.
