Missouri Charity Offers 500 Donated and $40-60 Computers, Laptops and Tablets to Those in Need Supporting Seniors and Veterans
St. Louis, Missouri (PRWEB) December 17, 2015 -- Web Innovations & Technology Services, Inc. (WITS, Inc.) a Missouri nonprofit charity based in St. Louis, provides some of the most unique community outreach programs found anywhere in the United States. Besides their back to school electronics giveaway event in August, they also host one of the nations largest refurbished computer giveaways for the holidays. Over 500 computers, laptops and tablets are given to those in need. WITS, Inc. also sells computers between $40 and $60 to those who do not meet poverty guidelines in order to raise funds for providing homebound seniors and veterans a free laptop, one year of free internet services, and an IT professional mentor for 6 weeks in their home.
Angela Haas, Founder and Director of WITS, INC provides an explanation of their mission:
"Our goal is to make sure that everyone has a chance at a better life by providing the tools and knowledge to get a job, finish school, or help their family achieve their goals. Using a computer is so easy, even grandma can do it."
No matter what the situation, WITS, Inc. strives to work with cities, school districts and even national organizations to make computers a reality for those at risk and in need.
From December 18-21, 2015, WITS, Inc. will be selling and donating equipment under a special program. At http://witsinc.org, there is an online store to purchase equipment from anywhere in the United States, and free shipping is included. If you purchase equipment and donate $100 or more, a homebound veteran will receive a free laptop computer. If you donate $500 or more, the homebound veteran will also receive free internet service for one year.
"This time of year, everyone is asking for money and we know it is hard to choose. WITS, INC will be putting 100% of every dollar received between December 18-21, 2015 into this program directly. Beyond these dates, we are always open for donations to serve our waiting list which consists of over 500 seniors and veterans.” Angela Haas
