Missouri Expands Simplifile E-Recording in Pulaski and Butler Counties
PULASKI COUNTY, Mo. (PRWEB) October 22, 2013 -- Pulaski and Butler counties are the newest Missouri recording jurisdictions to enable electronic recording (e-recording) of land documents through Simplifile, the nation’s largest e-recording service, providing customers with a more cost-effective, expedited recording option.
The counties’ customers include title companies, banks, attorneys, lien filers, and others who submit land documents for recording, and with the availability of Simplifile’s e-recording service, they will no longer have to pay for postage to send documents by mail or courier service or spend money on fuel travelling to the county to deliver the documents in person.
Through Simplifile, customers can electronically scan, upload, and send documents to the county where they are received, reviewed, stamped, recorded and returned electronically back to the customer.
“I am fortunate to serve in Pulaski County, one of the largest counties encompassing a military installation in Missouri. Offering e-recording allows options for our service members stationed throughout the United States and abroad,” said Pulaski County Recorder of Deeds Rachelle Beasley. “The convenience and cost savings to our customers was our motivating factor when our office made the decision to include e-recording as a service we offer.”
In addition, by submitting and receiving land records electronically, documents can be recorded within hours or minutes, instead of days or weeks, which is often the case with submitting paper documents through the mail.
“Serving the public is our highest priority and adding this option for our customers has been successful in saving them time and money,” Beasley said.
With the addition of Pulaski and Butler counties, 40 percent of Missouri’s recording jurisdictions currently offer e-recording with Simplifile.
“It’s rewarding to see the benefits that e-recording provides each new county and its customers, and we are excited for those benefits to continue to unfold for both of these new Missouri counties,” said Paul Clifford, president of Simplifile.
