Mister Sparky of Oklahoma Provides Discounts, and Free Service Calls to Support Oklahoma State Public Educators
OKLAHOMA CITY (PRWEB) April 20, 2018 -- In light of the recent public action taken on behalf of Oklahoma education Mister Sparky electricians of Oklahoma City and Tulsa are offering service discounts to educators, and are urging other local businesses to do the same. Starting immediately through September 2018, Mister Sparky will provide 20 percent off all work along with a free service call to all Oklahoma State Public Educators. Mister Sparky is joining established businesses from all over the state, like Frontier City and the Philbrook Museum, in offering these discounts and support to Oklahoma educators through the Oklahoma Public School
Resource Center.
“A lot of individuals are bringing attention to the issue of public education in our state,” said Aaron Hagan, owner of the Oklahoma area Mister Sparky locations. “We are trying to do our part in promoting awareness and offering relief to Oklahoma teachers who spend their own money on school supplies.”
According to the Oklahoma Education Coalition, between 2010 and 2015 more Oklahoma educators left the profession than joined it and Oklahoma is 48 in the nation for education. With an average ratio of 16 students to one teacher, teachers often must pay for school supplies out of their own pockets, and this adds up over time. "Let's get the momentum going, teachers can't afford all the supplies needed to educate our kids, so we're asking all local businesses to offer discounts and do whatever they can do to help out," Hagan says.
