Mitchell & Ness Releases Limited-Edition Bethlehem Steel F.C. Soccer Apparel

In partnership with ArtsQuest, Mitchell & Ness, the company known worldwide for premium authentic and lifestyle sports apparel and headwear, will unveil a new and limited-edition Bethlehem Steel F.C. soccer product line at Lehigh Valley’s 2014 FIFA World Cup™ SoccerFest and Viewing Party, held at SteelStacks, the arts and entertainment district located on the site of Bethlehem’s former Bethlehem Steel plant, on June 12-16 and 19-22.
Mitchell & Ness will display its 12-piece Bethlehem Steel F.C. line at their festival store during the FIFA World Cup™ SoccerFest and Viewing Party. The products, including snapback hats, crew neck sweat shirts, tank tops, tee shirts and scarves, will retail for $20 to $50. Product preview images will be available in early June.

Lehigh Valley’s FIFA World Cup™ SoccerFest and Viewing Party, one of a select few outdoor viewing events in the nation officially approved by FIFA, features 26 World Cup Brazil™ games, including USA vs. Ghana June 16 and USA vs. Portugal June 22, shown on a 17-foot high by 27-foot wide outdoor LED screen on SteelStacks’ Air Products Town Square. Both weekends are also packed with soccer programs, clinics, hands-on activities and special events appealing to soccer fans, players, coaches and families.
During this celebration, audiences will have the opportunity to discover the rich history of the Bethlehem Steel F.C., captured flawlessly by the new Mitchell & Ness soccer line. From 1913-30, the powerhouse Bethlehem Steel Football Club would twice go on 41-game winning streaks while also becoming a five-time winner of the National Cup, now the U.S. Open Cup, the longest running soccer competition in the nation. The original team jerseys, Bethlehem Steel plant and other iconic city images all served as inspiration for the Mitchell & Ness Bethlehem Steel F.C. product line.
Daniel Paul Morrison, considered the foremost authority on the team, will hold public presentations at the FIFA World Cup™ SoccerFest and Viewing Party on June 14-15, showcasing a number of vintage images and team photos, as well as soccer memorabilia from Bethlehem Steel F.C. and other teams of the time.
