Mixed Roots Foundation Hosts Pregame VIP Reception to Highlight ‘Make a Difference Day’
San Francisco, CA and Santa Clara, CA (PRWEB) October 24, 2013 -- In partnership with USA Weekend in celebrating over 20 years of the ‘Make a Difference Day,’ the largest national day of community service where millions of volunteers around the world unite in a common mission to improve the lives of others, Mixed Roots Foundation will host a VIP reception to recognize volunteers and businesses/organizations in the community that are ‘Making a Difference’ at its inaugural Adoptee Day with the MLS San Jose Earthquakes to help raise awareness and funds for more post adoption resources for adoptees and their families on Saturday, October, 26, 2013, 2:30 p.m. at the Buck Shaw Stadium, Santa Clara University (SCU), Santa Clara, CA.
Just Desserts, a premiere commercial baking company based in Oakland, CA, will debut and present a signature custom dessert along with San Francisco Walia Sports Club, a member of the Ethiopian Sports Federation of North America (ESFNA), will provide Ethiopian cuisine for all VIP attendees to enjoy. In addition, Event Magic, a leading Bay area custom party and event rental equipment company will provide all of event setup including table ware for the reception.

Following the VIP reception, attendees are encouraged to attend the San Jose Earthquakes game at 2:30 p.m., where a portion of all signature Adoptee Day tickets sold will benefit Mixed Roots Foundation and its community partners. In addition, game attendees will get a chance to see Korean Adoptee musician/artist Kimberly Michaels sing the national anthem and the debut of Mixed Roots Foundation’s PSA filmed and produced by Joaquim Lee, Oris Buckner and Ajakari Mark Angelo of AnonymityFilms.com that will feature Dr. Emmett D. Carson, CEO of the Silicon Valley Community Foundation.
