San Francisco, CA (PRWEB) September 27, 2013 -- Following the final signature Adoptee Day sporting event of the season taking place on Saturday, October 26th with the San Jose Earthquakes, Mixed Roots Foundation warmly welcomes Actor and Fellow Adoptee Brian Stanton to San Francisco with his award-winning and internationally acclaimed theatrical presentation called BLANK along with Author and Publicist Patti Hawn with her memoir called GOOD GIRLS DON’T – Two powerful stories that unweave the complexity and attempts to fill in the blanks of their own adoption experience on stage. BLANK and GOOD GIRLS DON’T will play at the Dance Mission Theater, 3316 24th Street (corner of Mission) at 7:00 p.m. in San Francisco, CA on Sunday, October 27, 2013.

An entertaining yet very compelling one-night only event in San Francisco, Mixed Roots Foundation is proud to support Los Angeles based playwright/actor Brian Stanton and author Patti Hawn as they explore themes of adoption and identity. Stanton plays 12 hilarious and poignant characters to tell his true adoption story, ultimately discovering the truth of his birth, an instinctive love for his birthmother, and a grateful dedication to his adoptive family. Readings from Hawn's memoir complement Stanton's experience by bringing a birthmother's perspective of her teenage pregnancy, the loss of her son to adoption, and the search to reunite 40 years later. The dynamic duo will host a Q & A Session to take place immediately following the theatrical presentation.
