MLB Baseball Tickets Catch Fire on BuyAnySeat.com
Denver, CO (PRWEB) September 21, 2013 -- As the sun sets over the 2013 MLB Baseball regular season, ticket sales are blazing away. The 162-game season ends on September 29, and that leaves less than ten do-or-die games for several storied squads.
In the American League, six teams are in the running for two Wild Card spots. Of the six, the Cleveland Indians appear to have the easiest path to the playoffs, as they’re currently in a four game series with the Houston Astros. Odds makers give them 55 percent chance.
The Tampa Bay Rays seem to be able to do enough to stay in, and stand at 63 percent. Then, there’s the Texas Rangers at 48 percent and the Baltimore Orioles with 17 percent odds. (Source: http://www.espn.com)
And, let’s not forget the New York Yankees and Kansas City Royals. Both teams are obviously long shots at the present time, but at this point, it is not impossible.
The Boston Red Sox clinched their division last night, while the Oakland Athletics and Detroit Tigers are due. The A's lead the Tigers by one in the loss column. Due to the season series, the Tigers have to pass them in the standings in order to earn home field in the likely ALDS meeting.
“As several teams make a major league dash for the post season, fans are turning out in higher numbers to cheer their club on,” said Felina Martinez at buyanyseat.com. “Ticket sales are definitely up.”
“Both MLB Baseball and NFL Football tickets are very popular right now, making it a very exciting time. “That’s why we’re proud to offer sports fans the most comprehensive and continuously updated selection of sports tickets online, with a worry-free guarantee to protect their purchase,” said Martinez.
“To access the full line-up of MLB Baseball tickets now available, customers can go to BuyAnySeat.com and search for the MLB Baseball – then select their team and their tickets,” said Martinez.
The NL has its playoff teams somewhat settled at the current time. The Los Angeles Dodgers are in after a 7-6 victory over the Arizona Diamondbacks to secure the National League West title. The Atlanta Braves are also expected to secure their NL East Division within the next few games.
The action is in the NL Central Division, where the St. Louis Cardinals lead the Pittsburgh Pirates and the Cincinnati Reds by a super thin 2 – 3 game margin. All three are playoff teams. St. Louis does not play either of the other contenders, while the Reds and Pirates still have six games remaining against each other.
As long as neither team takes five or six of the games, St. Louis ought to be sitting pretty for the division title. As for NL home field advantage, the Braves and Cardinals are within a game of each other with the Dodgers three games back. So that one is still too early to call.
This year will mark the second year for the single Wild Card Game format, both of which were won by road teams last year: St. Louis over Atlanta and Baltimore over Texas.
The current schedule calls for the first NL Wild Card Game to be played on Tuesday, October 1. The AL Wild Card is set for October 2. Each NL Division Series will begin on Thursday, October 3. The first full slate of Division Series games, featuring the two AL Division Series openers and a pair of NLDS Game Two’s, will take place on Friday, October 4. The Division Series will runs to October 10, 2013.
Game One of the 109th World Series is scheduled for Wednesday, October 23, in the ballpark of the American League champions. That likely means an October finish to the season, as Game Seven would be played on Halloween.
