MME group Awarded $50,000 Grant from Minnesota Job Skills Partnership
St. Paul, MN (PRWEB) February 18, 2015 -- The MJSP program works strategically with businesses and educational institutions to train or retrain workers, expand work opportunities, and keep high-quality jobs in the state.
MME group has partnered with Century College in White Bear Lake, Minn., to develop customized technical training for its production, engineering, quality systems and human resources employees.
MME group is in the process of internally revamping much of its training documentation and working to build a web-based training application that will serve as a repository for training documents and presenters.
Customized courses will include: lean manufacturing principals; machine and assembly operator advancement; setup and process engineering; CAD/CAM software training and inspection; and, CMM training and certifications. Continuing Education Units (CEUs) will be awarded.
“We place a tremendous amount of value in workforce training and professional growth,” said Bob Archambault, president of MME group. “Working with Century College to develop innovative manufacturing skills training will expand opportunities for current and future employees.”
The project will run through Feb. 2016 and will benefit more than 60 MME group employees.
