Mobile Generated News® (MoGN) Announces Version 2.1 with New App Updates
Cardiff by the Sea, CA (PRWEB) April 23, 2014 -- Mobile Generated News® (MoGN), the first crowd-sourcing mobile platform to share video and still images of news events, announces new Version 2.1 App upgrades. MoGN is the first of its kind to create a relationship between the professional media industry and Citizen Journalists.
Version 2.1 includes the new “Connect” feature that gives Citizen Journalists (CJ’s) the ability to view their local affiliate or news organizations’ web site, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and other social media sites directly from their mobile device. This unique Connect component is designed to drive new traffic to the local affiliate’s sites and expand their audience.
The new “Affiliates” feature enables CJ’s to view user generated content gathered from other MoGN affiliates. To view this additional content, just click on the Affiliates tab on the App, choose the city you would like to visit and you will see the MoGN Newsfeed, the local affiliate’s web site and their social media sites. These new enhancements increase MoGN’s commitment to domestic television stations, station groups, networks, newspapers, web sites and information services. The App is currently available in English and Spanish with French coming soon.
