Mobile Health Partners with Labcorp for Drug Testing and Other Laboratory Work
New York, NY (PRWEB) July 16, 2013 -- Mobile Health announces a partnership with Labcorp for all drug testing, titers, blood work, and other laboratory needs. The transition comes as Labcorp finalizes the acquisition of Mobile Health’s previous partner lab, Bendiner & Schlesinger earlier in 2013. Starting in June, Mobile Health started to transition their IT infrastructure and operations to incorporate Labcorp’s reporting needs.
Most Mobile Health clients are not affected by this change except for some laboratory reporting format changes such as Labcorp branding. As a benefit to Mobile Health’s 300+ clients, Labcorp will provide additional details regarding the tests and exams, resulting in longer and more in-depth reports. This additional information will be beneficial to understanding and analyzing report results.
As a major employee screening provider in New York City, Mobile Health’s drug testing program collects over 200,000 urine specimen a year in their owned and operated medical centers. Starting in 2013, Mobile Health also started to process drug tests using hair and blood specimen, which are also being processed by Labcorp.
As a SAMHSA certified laboratory, Mobile Health utilizes Labcorp for all drug testing that requires the additional regulatory overview. These are most commonly used for Department of Transportation (DOT) drug testing and certain federal government contract requirements. Combined with Mobile Health’s DOT drug testing collections and DOT medical exams, Labcorp’s SAMSHA certification allows Mobile Health to be the one stop shop for all DOT exam and testing needs.
