Mobile ordering solution Wi-Q is shortlisted for its second hospitality award this year
(PRWEB UK) 6 September 2016 -- Recognised for its impact on the hospitality sector, including customer experience and business performance, Wi-Q is a finalist for the Digital Achievement/Innovation Award as part of the Digital Development category.
In its initial year of trading, the cloud-based integrated HTML5 mobile ordering solution has been implemented in venues across the world, from coffee shops to hotels.
By conveniently placing the menu, ordering and payment capability in a consumer’s hands, operators are seeing a significant boost in revenue and an improved customer experience. Crucially, the state-of-the-art solution is instantly accessed via Wi-Fi on customers’ mobile devices rather than having to download an app. Features include the ability to clearly display allergy and nutritional information, which is expected to become a legal requirement in the near future, and filter menus items by allergy type. Additionally, Wi-Q can be integrated into any existing website, EPOS or App venues may already have, giving them the opportunity to extend and improve upon existing functionality.
The Digital Vision Awards, also referred to as the DiVAs, are new to the industry, dedicated to recognising operators, software vendors and suppliers that lead the way in online innovation.
Graham Cornhill, CEO of Wi-Q, which won the coveted Technology Innovation Award at Hotelympia earlier this year, was delighted to have made the shortlist for the Digital Vision Awards. He said, “Wi-Q is a visionary solution designed to future-proof the hospitality industry and bring tangible value to the market. The fact that the Digital Vision Awards recognises and rewards innovation and the technology that will shape the industry captures our concept perfectly. We are honoured to be on the shortlist.”
Hosted by The Caterer, the winners of the Digital Vision Awards will be announced through digital channels on thecaterer.com on 22 September 2016.
Wi-Q is available as a revenue-based SaaS model with little or no capital investment. For further details, visit http://www.wi-q.com

Editor’s Notes
Wi-Q is a revolutionary software company founded by a stakeholder group including multi-millionaire entrepreneur Graham Cornhill, who recognised a gap in the market to help shoppers with their purchases and ultimately put them at the heart of the sales process. The resulting technology, also called Wi-Q, has initially been aimed at the hospitality industry, but has the scope to be rolled out across any retail outlet, and is the world-leading integrated HTML software solution that is set to revolutionise the hospitality industry by placing the menu and ordering capability in the customers’ hands. Rather then being restricted by the need to download an app, Wi-Q can be accessed using any mobile device with an internet connection. The customer can select from the easy to update menu, place their order, make further purchases (think dessert or second cup of coffee), request a bill or pay for their order, all from the comfort of their seat, using their chosen device and without having to queue. Venues are seeing revenue uplifts averaging 15% within a month of implementing Wi-Q and trials and installations are taking place across the world.
