Mobile Tech Startup SavvyCard Hires New Vice President of Human Resources
St. Petersburg, FL (PRWEB) July 21, 2014 -- SavvyCard announced today that Randy Hafer has joined the company as Vice President of Human Resources to help expand its corporate structure and grow its staff in support of expected accelerated growth over the next 12-36 months. Randy joins SavvyCard from American Express's Serve division where, as Vice President of Human Resources, he was instrumental in creating and building Serve Enterprise. Prior to American Express, Randy served as head of Human Resources for CBSSports.com.
Randy’s hire adds to the growing list of Fortune 500 companies represented by executives at the St. Petersburg software startup, whose mobile web app platform provides businesses a streamlined solution for reaching and engaging mobile consumers. Along with American Express, members of the executive team at SavvyCard have previously been employed at organizations such as Bell Labs, Lockheed-Martin and Disney.
"This is a transformative time in mobile usage. SavvyCard has developed an innovative product that has many applications – both current and future – in the mobile market,” notes Randy. “It’s a solution that is in the right place at the right time, and I’m impressed with the quality of SavvyCard’s team. When the opportunity to join the company presented itself, I said ‘Yes’ without hesitation. I firmly believe SavvyCard is poised to lead the way for businesses to create effective mobile solutions, and I’m excited about the opportunity to help SavvyCard achieve success."
“Randy has an established track record successfully growing new technology ventures,” said David Etheredge, CEO, SavvyCard. “Great companies start with great teams. Randy was responsible for growing two separate start-up companies – that eventually became CBSSports.com and Serve respectively – from staffs of less than 30 to over 400, and guided them through acquisition and IPO. Randy is an ideal fit for SavvyCard as we work to become the future of mobile solutions for businesses.”
