Modern Equipment & Supply Delivers Special Breast Cancer Awareness Chipper to Meinhart’s Tree Service.
Bristol, PA (PRWEB) April 07, 2015 -- The Modern Equipment & Supply sales and service team was on hand at the company’s Bristol headquarters to witness the delivery of a 2015 Bandit 1890 wood chipper to Kevin Meinhart of Meinhart’s Tree Services of Sewell, NJ. While a chipper being delivered to a customer is a routine occurrence for this group, this particular machine had a very special significance. It is one of just a handful of Bandit chippers in the world which has been custom painted and decaled to support breast cancer awareness.
This is a cause the Meinharts believe in strongly. Close family members and friends have fought, and are still fighting, this terrible disease. As owners of a growing business of five years, the Meinharts found a bold way to contribute to the campaign against breast cancer. They have fitted a second crew of tree professionals with pink gear: from their safety shirts to the bucket truck towing their new 1890 chipper. They have even partnered with The South Jersey Breast Cancer Coalition and will make a donation to that organization from every job this crew works on.
The launch of this initiative was timed to coincide with the Coalition’s March 29th Pink Sugar Cocktail Party & Dance in Hainesport, New Jersey. This hard deadline was a challenge the Bandit factory team in Remus, Michigan accepted. Each Bandit Chipper is hand built from frame to finished product, requiring many hours of skilled craftsmanship. The factory redoubled their efforts and delivered. When Modern’s Bandit products manager Paul VanNocker pulled his truck up to the factory on March 26th the chipper had just come off the line. Just a few touches of paint were being applied as he backed his truck up.
After a 700 mile return trip Paul pulled in to our Bristol, PA shop early Friday morning. The chipper was soon in a service bay and each component given a final checkout by Modern’s Equipment & Supply service technicians. After everything was cleared we took Kevin Meinhart through the shop to see the machine for the first time. With pride, the keys were handed and the chipper hit the road for New Jersey.
