The face of the fireplace, originally a smooth, shiny black, needed to be customized to deter the reflection cast by camera lighting. The vibrant orange, naturalistic flame, which comes standard in the model, was kept the same and uses unique, energy efficient LED technology to give it a very realistic pattern that brings a warm and welcoming feeling to NBC’s set. The designer stated they were very happy with the way the fireplace fit onto the set and the imaging it helped bring.
