Modern Message Wins Innovator Award in Student Housing
Dallas, TX (PRWEB) April 13, 2017 -- Modern Message, the creator of the resident engagement platform, Community Rewards, and EdR, one of America's largest owners, developers and managers of collegiate housing, were recognized as the Best Vendor and Operator Solution in Student Housing at the 7th Annual Student Housing Business Innovator Awards.
The award came as a result of a partnership between Modern Message and EdR last fall to solve EdR’s logistical dilemma of manually sending out thousands of move-in incentive gift cards to residents.
By implementing Modern Message’s Custom Incentive Program, an electronic and automated gift card delivery program inside Community Rewards, EdR was able to eliminate approximately 250 man hours that were previously dedicated to gift card management. They also saved money on delivery fees from the previous gift card provider, and began receiving credits back for unclaimed gift cards through the new program.
“This program paid almost immediate returns through efficiency and improved customer experience,” said EdR’s senior vice president of strategic business development and chief technology officer, Scott Casey. “The automated gift card system was easy to implement across all of our properties, is generating revenue and we are projecting that it will save the company tens of thousands of dollars annually.”
The Best Vendor and Operator Solution award was presented on Thursday, April 6 at the awards gala reception during the 2017 Interface Student Housing Conference in Austin, TX. The judging for the awards included more than 100 industry experts to vote on more than 150 entries for all categories.
