Modo Labs Introduces Crowdsource-Enabled Facilities Module

By leveraging the involvement of community members, the new crowdsource-enabled Facilities module offers powerful functionality to help campuses readily identify and remedy problems related to all aspects of any physical building, from heating and air conditioning adjustments, to repairing bathrooms, broken windows, door locks and desks, to changing light fixtures or cleaning up spilled liquids in a hallway. Modo Labs’ Facilities module also integrates with the newly introduced Indoor Maps module, so users can quickly report the location of hazards and necessary maintenance or make requests.
As with other Kurogo Mobile Campus modules, non-technical users can manage and update the content entirely from Kurogo’s browser-based administrative console. The new module enables users to:
• Report a problem related to any part of the campus and submit with a photo,
• Crowdsource facility issues such as a broken window or lock,
• Provide operational departments with details required to “triage” and prioritize work orders, and
• Link from Indoor Maps and other modules to provide a seamless experience for mobile users.
