Modular Home Builders Association Calls for Industry to Unite
(PRWEB) February 11, 2014 -- The Modular Home Builders Association (formerly the Modular Building Systems Association) has announced the launch of its new industry initiative to finally unite the modular home building industry under one national association.
“For years, the modular home industry has been fragmented and disjointed, underserved and underrepresented by committees, councils and for-profit entities that have come and gone,” said Executive Director Tom Hardiman. “As the only full-service national organization dedicated exclusively to International Residential Code (IRC) built modular homes, the Modular Home Builders Association (MHBA) will bring the industry together.”
MHBA has spent the past year rebuilding under new management. Having grown from 2 to 30 member companies during 2013, MHBA will continue to attract more modular home builders and manufacturers, as well as suppliers of services and materials.
The association has a dual focus of promoting the advantages of modular construction to the home buying public while representing the industry on regulatory and legislative advocacy efforts within various state agencies. Member companies also receive referrals of interested home buyers from the MHBA website and are eligible for other member benefits such as Home of the Month, VIP discounts and affinity programs.
To facilitate networking, education and discussion, the association will host two industry conferences in 2014. The first is slated for late spring in the Philadelphia area, and the second will be held in the fall (location TBA). Presentations will come from a variety of perspectives and cover the latest trends, technology, issues and opportunities in the modular home industry.
