Moen Incorporated Recognized For Exceptional Service By Leading Home Builder
North Olmsted, Ohio (PRWEB) August 03, 2015 -- Moen Incorporated was once again honored with the prestigious “Partners of Choice Award,” by David Weekley Homes, the largest, privately held home builder in the United States. Receiving an “A” rating in service, this is the sixth time in 11 years that the company has earned the designation. The award was presented in a ceremony on August 28th, 2015 at the David Weekley National Accounts Meeting in Houston, Texas.
“Each year the bar rises,” said Bill Justus, vice president of supply chain services for David Weekley Homes. “The level of dedication and results needed to earn an ‘A’ previously is likely not good enough the following year. Moen continuously stays in front of our team members to ensure best-in-class, award-winning service.”
Award winners are determined by David Weekley’s rigorous evaluation platform, which includes the National Trading Partner Survey that assesses suppliers on quality and service. The quarterly survey gains input from nearly 800 of its team members each year – ranging from top executives and project managers to associates in accounts payable and purchasing. Each company’s numeric scores are averaged, and then an alpha ranking is assigned that relates its score to all of their national trading partners.
“The survey challenges all our trading partners to actively manage the supply chain – and Moen’s outstanding scores are especially noteworthy when you consider they are managing two-step distribution,” said Justus. “Our interactive system facilitates communication to help our national trading partners develop strategies to manage potential issues and create a roadmap for continuous improvement and success.”
After the comprehensive evaluation, few companies rise to the top with such excellent marks. In fact, this year, only 23 companies out of 200 received the prestigious ranking.
“We are truly honored to once again receive this prestigious – and extremely competitive – award; however, the David Weekley process and strong commitment to excellence is also to be commended,” said Kevin Campbell, vice president of wholesale sales Moen Incorporated. “At Moen, we have embraced the unique method to gain insights and help ensure that we can create a seamless process – from faucet procurement to installation. It’s an honor to be recognized for our efforts.”
Justus implemented the unique supplier evaluation platform in order to achieve a concept he calls “channel alignment,” where all parties within the supply chain are operating together to support David Weekley Homes. By providing feedback from builders and project managers, warranty service, design center, administrative and executive team members, trading partners know exactly how they are doing in each market and at every level inside the organization. In summary, the process highlights opportunities for David Weekley Homes and its suppliers to pursue excellence together, helping the homebuilder to achieve its goal of “Building Dreams and Enhancing Lives” for its Homebuyers.
