Monroe College Hosts 28th Annual Holiday Celebration for College Community
Bronx, NY (PRWEB) December 05, 2016 -- Monroe College, a national leader in educating urban and international students, held its 28th annual holiday celebration yesterday for the children of faculty, staff, and students.
The College once again transformed its main building on the Bronx campus into a winter wonderland decked with festive holiday decorations, twinkling lights, and Christmas trees. Faculty and staff volunteered their time to decorate the building, greet arriving guests, serve holiday treats, and play the roles of elves and cartoon characters. There were three performances of a new holiday-themed show titled “The Magical Monroe Christmas Show,” which provided fun entertainment to the hundreds of adults and children that attended.
“We look forward to throwing this holiday party each year for the children of our faculty, staff, and students to say ‘thank you’ for helping make Monroe the very special institution that it is," said Stephen Jerome, President of Monroe College. "The look of pure happiness on the children’s faces never fails to delight.”
The Magical Monroe Christmas Show was a free event open to Monroe College students, faculty, and staff.
