Monster Energy's Brita Sigourney Takes Bronze in Women's Ski SuperPipe X Games Aspen 2015

Aspen, Colo (PRWEB) January 22, 2015 -- Amidst the falling snow Monster Energy’s Brita Sigourney takes bronze with a score of 78.66 in Women’s Ski SuperPipe tonight at X Games Aspen 2015. The win for Sigourney makes an incredible third X Games medal with a silver in 2011 and bronze in 2012.

After missing the podium for two years, Sigourney came into this X Games with the calm and confidence to take a medal. During her run she carried her speed and amplitude, boosting as high as 14 feet 6 inches. Her amazing run included a straight-air mute grab into an Alley-Oop Japan, into a 900, into an Alley-Opp 540, into a left 540, and finally a right cork 720.

When asked what it was like out there tonight, Brita commented, “It was really fun and probably the least nervous I have ever been dropping into an X Games competition, which I think kind of paid off. I didn’t have the leg jitters.” “It feels good to be back on the podium and hopefully I can just keep progressing from here.”
