Montana Alpaca Farmer Releases Heartwarming Children’s Book About Baby Alpaca
LIVINGSTON, Mont. (PRWEB) August 21, 2017 -- A Montana-based alpaca farmer has released her debut children’s book, which puts forth the uplifting true story of a baby alpaca’s journey through medical challenges to health and happiness. In “Miss Rosie’s Miraculous Journey,” Kim Q. presents a gentle examination of the emotional complexity of parent-child relationships and emphasizes the importance of celebrating personal quirks.
Told from the perspective of baby alpaca Miss Rosie, the story chronicles the newborn’s first year of life and initial struggles with walking due to abnormalities in the shape of her legs. With the relentless love of her human, Momma Q., and the help of a set of leg braces, Miss Rosie adeptly overcomes her medical challenges and presses onward through her transition to “alpacahood.”
“To have this story of the bonding between a baby alpaca and a human – it’s encouraging and heartwarming,” Kim said. “It’s one of those stories that’s just too precious to not tell. In publishing this children’s book, I hope to offer my readers a playful, vibrant and imaginative introduction to alpacas and encourage them to embrace their own uniqueness.”
Full of colorful illustrations, “Miss Rosie’s Miraculous Journey” delivers a relatable tale about the ups and downs of both parenthood and childhood. Through Miss Rosie’s “firsts” and wide-eyed wonderment, readers will learn more about raising and caring for livestock as well as the critical importance of disability advocacy and awareness.
