Moore Design Group Quadruple Winner of Esteemed Design Awards
Dallas, TX (PRWEB) July 10, 2015 -- At the annual Dallas Design Ovation Award ceremony, the American Society of Interior Designers honored Moore Design Group with four of the prestigious design awards, celebrating the Dallas firm’s most recent influential interior designs at multifamily properties across Texas.
Led by Owner and Principle Designer Stephanie Moore-Hager, MDG won Design Ovation Awards for two multifamily properties: SageStone Village, Hillwood’s master-planned development in Fort Worth, TX; and The Belvedere Springwoods Village, Martin Fein’s sustainably planned development in Spring, TX.
“It’s an honor not only to be recognized among our peers, but to be able to create these designs for Hillwood, A Perot Company, and Martin Fein Interests,” Moore-Hager said. “As developers, they have allowed MDG the freedom to implement designs that we feel truly embody their vision for the properties.”
MDG received two awards in the Commercial: Fixture Design category. SageStone Village, for a commissioned three-dimensional art piece created by Dallas artist Geoff Hager. The large wall sculpture in the lobby was constructed with 24” x 24” x 3” wooden birch squares and assembled using eighteen frames covered in pre-stressed copper screen.
In the same category, for the custom light fixture in the lobby at The Belvedere Springwoods Village. In collaboration with Norton Enterprises and Lusive Décor, the design team, led by MDG Project Manager Allison Bates, crafted a distinctive, original lighting fixture made of opal acrylic with a hand finished grey that complements the luxurious, boutique hotel design interpretation of the space.
In the Commercial: Product Design category, MDG was recognized for the custom table at The Belvedere Springwoods Village. MDG joined with the woodworking division of Paloma Creations, to produce the unique, sophisticated 100” X 22” console with a Walnut Veneer that is as much a piece of art as the space itself.
For their entry in the Residential: Model/Show House category, MDG Project Manager Kaitlin Jones received recognition for the design of the model at SageStone Village. Jones designed the model with organic textures, statement-making fabrics, and bold, custom artwork that brings warm punches of color to the otherwise cool, relaxing background. The Quorum black pendant with bronze down rod adds a particular interest with a mix of metals, and visual textures keep the space stimulating and connected to the architectural solutions, keeping the model functional and mature.
"As a design firm, we understand trends, materials and construction techniques,” Moore-Hager said. “We were able to get a true feel for our clients’ interpretation of our design intent while hitting the bottom lines required by the developers for these winning designs.”
