The Mexican National Show is sponsored and hosted by the Mexican Association of Cebu Breeders (AMCC). This organization was legally established in 1962 under the name of Livestock Breeders Association of Cebu in Mexico and is currently responsible for certifying and maintaining the genealogies of Zebu breeds in Mexico. (Zebu is a variant of the Brahman breed.) As such, the Mexican show plays a similar role to the major USA shows put on by the American Brahman Breeders Association (ABBA).
