Mother Creates a Legacy of Healing in Memory of Her Son, James Mason Center of Recovery opens July 15th, 2015.
Salt Lake City, Utah (PRWEB) July 09, 2015 -- JMCR is a licensed adolescent behavioral health facility located in Salt Lake City that caters to addiction and mental health. JMCR has a unique definition of addiction that includes all unhealthy coping skills which render a teen out of control. These may include self-harm, pornography, gaming, substance abuse and suicidal ideation. Their approach to treatment is refreshing, innovative and focuses on healing from the inside out.
Trisa McBride, Founder and CEO, has this to say about her center’s mission: “Chronic addiction begins in early adolescence when the brain is still developing. If addressed early enough, the results can be phenomenal and lasting. We can potentially spare the child and family years of suffering if these patterns are interrupted and not transferred into adulthood.”
There appears to be a severe lack of insurance based services for teens in the Salt Lake Valley. JMCR is doing their part to fill that gap by offering a program capable of servicing up to 33 clients. With projected numbers, they hope to expand to approximately double those numbers within the next 90 days. The approach that JMCR takes is a combination of evidence-based therapies along with holistic, awareness and experiential curriculum.
The JMCR facility is located just west of I-15 off 4500 South in Salt Lake City. JMCR offers Intensive Day Treatment which consists of 30 to 35 hours a week of outpatient services and Intensive Outpatient (IOP) which consists of 10 to 14 hours a week. There is a strong family education and counseling program which supports not only their clients, but the entire family system. In addition, there is a supportive aftercare program to assist clients in making lifelong changes.
JMCR is currently accepting clients for Day Treatment and IOP beginning July 15th.
