Mother Goose School Welcomes New Director
San Francisco, CA (PRWEB) November 19, 2013 -- Mother Goose School's theme of the month is “Our City of San Francisco.” The City is a beautiful and unique place. The teachers will be discussing the history, events, and landmarks with the children. There are many places that families can visit throughout the City.
Mother Goose School would like to welcome Ms. Shannon McGilloway as our new director. Mother Goose School is very fortunate to have found her. Ms. Shannon is experienced in the San Francisco School system. Mother Goose School looks forward to working with her. She is eager to get to know the Mother Goose School community.
Mother Goose School is pleased to have some special guests come talk to the children this month. Mother Goose School children are excited to see the fire truck and team of firefighters, which will be presented by the Alisa Ruch Burn Foundation. Firefighters in full uniform will speak with the children about fire safety and demonstrate what to do in case of a fire. Mother Goose School is also fortunate to have a librarian from the San Francisco Main Library visit for storytime. Mother Goose students love to listen to books and talk about the stories and characters with their friends. Finally, Mother Goose School has several members of the Police Department who will be visiting this month. Mother Goose School children will get to see the inside of a squad car. They will also discuss safe behavior. “We are pleased that these representatives of our community can come to our school!”
Kindergarten Resources: Mother Goose School provides information to enrolled families regarding the public/private kindergarten selection process. School flyers are posted at the school and online inquiries are encouraged. Parents are encouraged to visit prospective kindergarten programs. Mother Goose does its best to prepare students for their next school experience and support families with the selection process.

Mother Goose School has been serving the child care needs of families of San Francisco and the Bay Area as a day care and preschool facility since 1951. Mother Goose School is open to all children between the ages of two and six. The primary focus of the school is to instill in each child a lifelong enjoyment of the learning process. The school is comprised of five developmental levels ranging from nursery through kindergarten age. Mother Goose School is open 7 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Friday. In order to educate the whole child, their daily program includes instruction that is based on a balanced, all-inclusive curriculum. This preschool curriculum is specifically intended to provide a firm foundation for each child in preparation for any public or private school. The daily program at Mother Goose School includes academics, art and crafts, physical education and social skills. Music instruction is shared with morning classes twice weekly. Classrooms are equipped with child-friendly music. They also offer toilet training in their nursery program and a naptime every afternoon.
