Motor Development and Fitness Outlined in CCEI Training Course
Duluth, GA (PRWEB) July 09, 2015 -- ChildCare Education Institute® (CCEI), a distance learning professional development and certificate provider, offers CCEI121: Promoting Motor Development and Physical Fitness in Early Childhood as an online no-cost trial child care training course to new CCEI users during the month of July, in recognition of National Anti-Boredom month.
Childhood fitness is an issue upon which early childhood professionals can have a significant impact. By ensuring that children stay active while in their care, they can help combat obesity and promote healthy lifestyles from the beginning. This course provides an understanding of the importance of motor development and physical fitness in the early childhood years and the ways in which they can become part of the curriculum. Upon successful completion of this course, participants will be able to define physical fitness as it applies to young children, identify the five health-related fitness factors, outline the need for instruction in and practice of motor skills in early childhood, define locomotor and non-locomotor skills, and much more.
“Childhood fitness is an important issue upon which early childhood professionals can have a significant impact” says Maria C. Taylor, President and CEO of CCEI. “By promoting motor development and physical fitness, this course provides key information to help improve the long-term health of children.”
This beginner-level training course is available as a trial course to new users with CCEI account creation in July. Current CCEI users with active, unlimited annual subscriptions can enroll in professional development courses at no additional cost when logged in to their CCEI account. Users without subscriptions can purchase child care training courses as block hours through CCEI online enrollment.
